Party in the Park - 31 May

On Sunday 31st May 2015 we celebrated our 25th Anniversary at Pedregales Park and it proved to be a great success with a fantastic turnout and a wonderful atmosphere.

Jazz band Transatlantic entertained the guests with their mellow music whilst tapas, paella and vegetarian chilli were served along with plenty of liquid refreshment of course! Entertainment also included face painting, a bouncy castle and yoga to keep the children occupied, all provided by Adana's amazing volunteers.

25th Annual ADANA Dog Show - 26 April 2015

Once again the ADANA dog show has proved to be a rip roaring success. Taking place a few weeks earlier than in recent years, and despite the adverse weather conditions, visitors and competitors turned out in force to make our anniversary show one to remember.

With 40 stalls offering everything from doggie accessories, preserves, coffee, fencing solutions, insurance, cakes, dog grooming and satellite TV to the ever popular Tombola stall, there was something on offer for everybody. Trisha and her team on the café pulled out all the stops to keep the masses fed and watered.

Quiz Night - 19 Mar

The 19th March saw the second ADANA quiz night held at the Irish Fiddler in Estepona. The absolutely dreadful weather was probably the reason for only five teams entering, but nevertheless we managed to raise €105.

After being runners up last month, an ADANA team aptly named the 'Poo Pickers' claimed victory. We send out huge thanks to Peta Seville for being our quiz mistress and to all those that braved the rain to support us.

The next quiz, at the same venue will be on April 23rd.

2nd Annual March Dog March - 15 Mar

This years ADANA March march was a huge success. Taking place on Sunday 15 March 2015, the turnout was overwhelming especially considering it was UK Mothers Day.

Beforehand we suggested that people may want to join our event and walk one of our shelter dogs, we had such a tremendous response and with the help of our devoted and hard working team of volunteers we were able to transport and walk 30 of our own dogs.

Quiz Night - 19 Feb

The first ADANA quiz night

"Some time ago my wife Finola, and I suggested to Helen (Ellis) that Adana would benefit from a monthly quiz to earn the organisation a little bit of money. (As for several years Finola and I have been regular quiz-goers at the Animals in Need monthly quiz held at The Brasserie, Casares Golf Club, run by Paul Taylor and very successful in terms of attendance and money raised)

Valentine's Day - 14 Feb 2015

For the love of dogs. Our Valentine Event

The sun shone and Egg Square was filled with love, as dog lovers and ADANA supporters gathered together for our valentine meet. It was especially pleasing to see so many ex ADANA dogs come to say hello. A fantastic €245 was raised through the sale of doggie treats, bandanas, pad locks for our new paw lock wall, naming an ADANA dog and donations. The winner of our fancy dress competition was Sylvia with Steffi, a beautiful Spanish mastin cross adopted from ADANA approximately 6 years ago.

Christmas Raffle Celebrations

ADANA Xmas Raffle
The pretty little square outside New Longmans was the setting for the annual Christmas raffle draw and coffee morning. The sun was shining, the coffee was replaced with mulled wine and delicious mince pies and the Parasol Singers sang Christmas carols beautifully for everyone to enjoy. Eileen Audas, Raffle Co-ordinator, announced the winners of the 82 prizes.

ADANA Christmas Fair a big hit

23 November 2014 at the Palacio De Congresos, Estepona

The Fair made 6,450 Euros which is a fantastic result. The café had lots of wonderful cakes and mince pies made by our supporters and the bacon butties went down a Treat. ADANA had more of their own stalls this year - as well as the café we had plants, books, ADANA shop, Beth and her goodies, Cava and tapas, tombola and clothes.
