Sam Hall talk - 1 October 2013

Sam Hall talk on 1 October
A packed room at the Padre Manuel Centre Estepona on 1 October heard an interesting an amusing talk by Sam Hall, veteran ITN newscaster.

This event was the second talk by Sam in the past six months, so well-received was his first visit to talk to ADANA members and supporters. This time, in contrast to his previous talk, the tone was light and amusing as Sam recounted many extremely funny behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the newsroom and elsewhere.

All monies raised will go to the care of the two hundred dogs at our ADANA kennels in Estepona's Parque de Los Pedregales.

Sashzade, la bailarina del vientre
Tickets were sold out well in advance for ADANA's Moroccan Night, this year held on 19 July at John and Henry's Restaurant Cortijo La Vizcaronda in Manilva.

Eighty two guests, many in exotic Moroccan costumes, wined and dined in the beautiful gardens while Irish singer Mandy Lovett and husband Gerry entertained them with old time favourites. Everyone agreed that the Moroccan buffet, featuring various tagines prepared by Henry, was delicious.

Along with the Moroccan cookies came the stunning belly dancer, Sashzade whose graceful performance had everyone entranced.

The evening ended with everyone dancing to yet more lively music and songs by Mandy.

The night raised a grand €1,544 for ADANA. We wish to thank John and Henry for all the work they put into the party to make the evening a success, to Mandy and Gerry for entertaining free of charge, and to our energetic bar ladies Trish and Carol.
