Meet Jamie

Jamie arrived at Adana with his brother Kipper and three other tiny puppies at barely six weeks old, and somehow most of those little pups have grown up here. So, while he may have spent most of his life behind shelter gates, this certainly hasn’t let that define his personality and enthusiasm for what goes on around him.

He’s a handsome boy with a bright, lively character and a keen interest in whatever is happening nearby. Jamie likes company, enjoys being around his doggy friends and is always ready for a bit of fun. He can go from quietly watching the world around him to joining in with whatever is happening in a matter of seconds - particularly if there’s a game involved. He has a playful side that comes out when he’s relaxed, and seeing him enjoying himself is a lovely reminder that there’s a young, affectionate dog in there who has so much more to experience.

Jamie is also the sort of dog who likes to know what you’re up to. He watches, takes notice and is interested in people, which tells us there’s a clever little brain behind those good looks. This isn´t to say that he doesn´t also enjoy some cuddle time too! He’ll need someone who can give him some direction and help him understand all the things that come with being a family dog. Life outside the shelter will be full of new sights, sounds, smells and situations, so a patient owner who enjoys training and can give him clear, consistent boundaries will be important.

With his Belgian Shepherd heritage, Jamie is unlikely to be satisfied with being a decorative sofa ornament! He needs activity, interaction and things to occupy that brain of his. Good walks, games, training and being involved in family life will all help him flourish. He doesn't need someone who expects him to arrive perfectly trained; he needs someone who will enjoy discovering what he can do and giving him the chance to learn.
