Kira

Meet Kira.

Kira knows what it feels like to be let down by the people who were supposed to love her most. Her previous life was not a kind one, and although she cannot tell us what happened, you can sometimes see the uncertainty lingering behind her eyes. She can be a little reactive around other dogs at first, as though she is still learning that she no longer has to protect herself from the world around her. But beneath that uncertainty is a fun and loving soul desperate to feel safe.

Once the lead comes out, Kira is playful, joyful, full of life and excitement for her walks and runs. She now bounds up to the staff and volunteers with a hopeful look, waiting for a fuss before heading off on her adventures. Outside, her youthful spirit shines through - she loves to run, stretch her legs, and simply enjoy being free for a little while. And recently, Kira discovered something that seems to make her truly blissful: having her glossy black fur gently brushed. She stands happily, soaking up the tenderness, as though nobody ever took the time to care for her before.

Kira needs someone to give her the chance she has never truly had. With patience, love, and reassurance, this lovely girl could finally leave the sadness of her past behind and learn what it feels like to belong. There is a home out there for her where kindness will replace fear, and she will finally know what it means to be safe and loved.
