Meet Luna

Luna is a petite blonde-and-white Labrador cross, who arrived at Adana after being rescued by Manilva Town Hall. At a couple of years old, she should probably be settling nicely into adulthood by now - but someone forgot to tell Luna! She has all the energy, excitement and sheer zest for life of a much younger dog, and she is determined to make sure everyone else knows just how much fun she is having.

From the moment she arrived, Luna has been happy, friendly and ready to get involved. She absolutely loves attention and greets people with the sort of enthusiasm that suggests she has been waiting all day specifically for you to turn up. And then there are the dogs and puppies she has met here so far - Luna wants to play with all of them. Her approach is very much “Hello! You look fun! LET’S PLAY!”, and while her intentions are entirely good, she may need a little help learning that not every dog is quite as enthusiastic about her particular style of socialising.

Walkies are another great passion. She is pretty good on the lead and clearly loves getting out to explore, sniff (lots) and see what’s happening in the world beyond her pen. Luna loves walkies so much that she has become something of a gate-crasher. The instant that gate moves, even half an inch, she is there - nose first, shoulders following and absolutely convinced that this is her moment. It doesn’t matter whose turn it is, where she is supposed to be going, or whether anyone has actually invited her. Luna sees a gap and thinks GO! You have to admire the commitment.

She arrived looking to be in great health, and her happy, playful nature has been shining through from the start. She is an energetic, affectionate young dog who will need an active home, plenty of interaction and some sensible guidance as she learns that enthusiasm is wonderful - but occasionally needs an off switch!

Luna would suit someone who enjoys having a cheerful companion who wants to be part of everything. Labradors are often intelligent, sociable and eager to please, but Luna has added her own particular interpretation to the recipe: plenty of energy, a huge appetite for attention and enough puppy spirit to keep you on your toes.
