Meet Miome

Miome came to us when her previous owner could no longer keep her, and we soon discovered that this is a girl who knows exactly what she wants from life. She has her own ideas about how things should be done, and if something doesn’t quite meet her approval, you won’t be left wondering about it! Walks? Yes, when she decides it’s a good idea. Meeting new people? Absolutely - when she’s in the mood. Other dogs? She’d really rather they kept their distance. Horses? Definitely not. Cats? Also a firm no. Miome has clearly spent considerable time developing her list of preferences, and she sees no reason why she should compromise now!

But beneath that strong character is another side to Miome, and her foster carer has been getting to know it well. She can be affectionate, funny and wonderfully entertaining, with plenty of those little moments that make you laugh and remind you that every dog has their own way of doing things. She is currently enjoying the comforts of foster life, where she has the chance to relax and be herself while waiting for the right person to come along.

English Bulldogs can make wonderful companions for the right home. They tend to be affectionate, characterful and often hilariously stubborn, with a talent for making their humans adapt to their way of thinking. They don’t necessarily need huge amounts of exercise, but they do enjoy being part of their person’s world - preferably on their own terms, naturally!

We think there is someone out there who will completely understand Miome. Perhaps someone who lives alone, works from home and would appreciate having a four-legged companion to keep them company, listen to their thoughts and occasionally make it very clear that their latest idea is absolutely not going to happen. We wouldn’t recommend a home with children, and Miome would definitely prefer to be the only animal in the household.

We can all relate to having our days when the world is a little too much, our patience is in short supply, or we simply know exactly what we want and refuse to settle for anything else. Miome is no different. She has plenty of strength of character, but she also has a loving and funny side, and we’re hoping there is someone out there who will appreciate the whole package.
