Ochre

Ochre and Joplin are our two shy princesses. Having arrived as newborns suffering from parvovirus, they could not be touched, held or petted through their formative, early months and did not learn to trust people. Subsequently, it took three years to persuade them to take a walk.

That was two years ago and they are now very enthusiastic about their walks, noses down, tail up, completely engaged. Joplin is now happy to accept affection and even Ochre will meekly allow an ear-scratch from a trusted source. They walk very well and behave beautifully around other dogs. They remain timid around people, particularly Ochre, but their confidence continues to develop and they are all the happier for it.
