Dante

Meet Dante

Dante was found abandoned in Sabinillas, and brought to Adana at around three months old. We were surprised to hear that his Mum is a Border Collie, but looking at Dante's sturdy frame, sizeable paws and overall features, we're guessing there's a fair bit of Mastín in the mix, too. Whatever the recipe, it's certainly produced one handsome young chap - and he's got plenty more growing to do!

Dante has arrived full of curiosity, keen to investigate absolutely everything and everyone. He's itching to get out and play with our other pups, and human company is just as high on his list of priorities. Staff and volunteers are supposed to be getting on with their jobs, but somehow we keep finding ourselves sneaking in for a cuddle. Funny how that happens... He’s also discovering the joys of a good play session, bringing plenty of fun and laughter to everyone aound. For all his playful curiosity, though, he's a surprisingly calm little chap, happy to take things in his stride between bouts of puppy mischief.

So what will Dante grow up to be? Will he inherit the Border Collie's intelligence, eagerness to learn and love of having a job to do, or the Mastín's steady, good-natured outlook and loyal devotion to his people? We're hoping for a rather lovely combination: a bright, clever companion with a big heart and a gentle side. Of course, puppies don't come with guarantees, and Dante will need patient training, plenty of positive experiences, exercise appropriate to his age and size, and guidance as he learns how to navigate the world. He's going to be a fairly big boy, so helping him grow into a well-mannered adult is going to be important!

His current photos really don't do him justice - Dante is an absolute sweetheart. As much as we adore him, we can´t wait for him grow into his paws with a family to call his own. Come for a play and free cuddles - he´s got bundles of them!
