Meet Hutch
Meet Hutch - the other half of our adorable pair of little potatoes, found abandoned in Manilva at around 11 weeks old. He and Starsky arrived together, both cute, perfectly pudgy and completely irresistible. We’re not quite sure what went into making these two, but we suspect there’s some Mastín in the mix. Those huge paws and sturdy little bodies certainly suggest that Hutch may have some serious growing to do!
At the moment, Hutch is all puppy - playful, affectionate and delighted whenever someone takes an interest in him. He has a wonderful temperament and loves attention, with that cheerful, trusting nature that makes puppies so very hard to resist. He’s the sort of little chap who can make you think, yes, absolutely, I need a puppy in my life...
And then comes the important bit... puppies. Hutch is adorable, but he’s also going to need teaching. There will be energy, curiosity, mischief and a whole lot of learning along the way. Rules don’t magically arrive with the puppy package, so his new family will need patience, consistency and a willingness to put in the work. He’ll need to learn how to walk nicely, listen, settle, cope with the world around him and generally become a well-mannered member of the family.
There’s another consideration with Hutch, too. If our suspicions about his ancestry are right, that tiny puppy could turn into a rather large dog. Bringing a big dog into your life means thinking ahead - about space, exercise, training, transport and the practicalities of living with a dog who could eventually be considerably bigger than the little pup currently sitting in front of you. The commitment lasts well beyond the puppy stage.
If you think you’re prepared for all of that, we’d love you to come and meet him. Contact us to arrange a visit - but we should probably warn you now: cuddles, a squishy puppy face and those enormous puppy-dog eyes can make the whole “let’s think this through carefully” part considerably harder!
