Loco

Meet Loco

Although his name might suggest otherwise, this little chap is anything but crazy. Rescued by Manilva Town Hall at around seven months old, Loco is a smallish crossbreed of the ¨Estepona Special¨ variety. Whatever his ancestry, he has arrived with a wagging tail, a happy face and an obvious determination to get involved in absolutely everything.

Loco is the sort of youngster who can make you smile without even trying. Bubbly, confident and incredibly affectionate, he adores a cuddle and seems to regard every new person as a potential new best friend. He settled in with his penmates straight away and has no qualms about introducing himself to dogs much bigger than he is - even when they aren’t quite as enthusiastic about the introduction as he is! He’s also already part of the welcoming committee, racing to the gate to greet every new arrival, whether human or canine.

When the leads come out, Loco is delighted to discover that he might be one of the chosen ones. His smaller size makes him pretty easy to handle, but like any young dog, he still has plenty to learn about good manners, social skills, house rules and boundaries. Whoever adopts him will essentially be starting with a blank page - which is a lot of fun, but does mean giving him the patience, consistency and training he needs to grow into the fantastic adult dog he has the potential to become.

And one final warning: if you’re reading this profile thinking that Loco might be your little dude, and you come along to meet him, you’d better have your home ready. Because once this happy, cuddly, tail-wagging bundle has decided you’re his person, we suspect he’ll probably be moving in.
