Meet Cooper

This cheerful little chap is a mystery crossbreed, wrapped up in a wonderfully scruffy wire-haired coat, complete with a rather untidy beard that gives him the look of a little dog who’s been far too busy having fun to worry about his grooming routine!

Friendly from the word go, Cooper greets everyone who comes to his gate with the cutest happy smile and a wagging tail. Staff, volunteers and visitors are all greeted with the same happy enthusiasm, and Cooper is particularly good at making you feel like he’s genuinely pleased to see you. He has an inquisitive nature and is the sort of dog who can brighten up even the dullest day, simply by trotting over with his cheerful little face.

At around four years old, Cooper has plenty of energy and loves getting out for his walkies. He walks nicely on the lead, enjoying all the important sniffing and exploring along the way. Back in his pen, he mixes happily with his fellow residents and is always keen to have a good run around. And if there’s some action happening elsewhere, you can bet Cooper will be interested - why miss out when there might be something fun going on?

There’s no drama with Cooper. He’s friendly, sociable and simply enjoys being involved. Whether it’s a walk, a run around with his friends, greeting people at the gate or investigating what everyone else is up to, Cooper approaches it all with the same happy-go-lucky attitude.

He really is a little ray of sunshine with four legs and a beard. You could probably have the worst day imaginable and Cooper would still greet you as though you were the best thing he’d seen all morning.

Come and spend some time with Cooper. Let him give you his very best smile, take him for a walk and see if you can resist that scruffy little face. We certainly haven’t managed to.
