Meet Norbert – the boy who never wants to miss out!

Norbert arrived at ADANA at around six or seven months old, and this handsome boy has certainly grown into his personality. We’re still not entirely sure what breeds make up his adorable mix – there are definite Podenco looks, with perhaps a little Collie thrown in – but whatever the combination, Norbert is a wonderfully happy, engaging dog who believes life is there to be enjoyed.

Norbert is a real character. He is bubbly, enthusiastic and absolutely does not want to miss out on anything that might be happening. Wherever there is action, you can be pretty sure Norbert will be somewhere nearby, keeping an eye on proceedings and hoping to be included. A walk? He’s ready. A game? Count him in. Someone offering attention? He'll be there. If something interesting is going on, Norbert would like to know about it!

And then there are those eyes. His photographs really don't do him justice – when Norbert looks at you with that gorgeous, loving gaze, it's difficult not to give him your full attention. He adores people and is very affectionate, happily enjoying cuddles, kisses and plenty of fuss. He has a lovely way of leaning into you when he's getting attention, although with Norbert, cuddles are just one part of the programme – there is always something else to investigate afterwards!

Being young, intelligent and full of energy, Norbert is looking for a home that will keep his busy brain and lively personality occupied. He'll enjoy walks, games, exploring, learning new things and being involved in family life. His Podenco influence means he is likely to appreciate plenty of activity and enrichment, while his Collie-like qualities suggest he'll also enjoy having something to think about. Training and interactive games could be great fun for both Norbert and his new family.

But perhaps the most important thing about Norbert is that he wants to be part of your world. He isn't a dog who wants to spend his days sitting quietly on the sidelines. He wants to know what you're doing, where you're going and whether there's room for him to join in. And if there is something fun happening, you can bet he'll be ready and waiting!

Norbert has been at ADANA long enough - we would love for the next chapter of his life to be somewhere he can really shine – with people who enjoy his enthusiasm, appreciate his cheeky, bubbly nature and want a dog who is genuinely excited to be part of the family.
