Pierre

Pierre may have a French name, but this chico is puro corazón español. This young blond podenco wandered the hills of Los Pedregales with a couple of companions before bravely finding his own way to our shelter - a little lost, very scared, and in need of some gentle care. Since then, he’s been quietly finding his feet. Pierre is still a bit wary of people and prefers to take introductions at his own pace, but behind those cautious eyes is a sweet, good-natured soul just waiting to feel safe.

With his pen mates, Pierre shows his chirpy, fun side - he gets along well with other dogs and takes comfort in their company. What he needs now is someone patient and understanding, willing to give him the time and space to build trust. And trust us, it will be worth it. Podencos are truly special dogs: intelligent, sensitive, and incredibly loyal once they bond with their person. They’re known for their gentle nature, quiet companionship, and surprising affection.

So while he may not (yet) say “bonjour” with a full on smooch, give Pierre a little time and you’ll discover a devoted friend with a heart as warm as the Spanish sun…
