Meet Isolda...

Isolda is one of four tiny Podenco puppies who were rescued after being found abandoned in a bin, at about 8 weeks old. It's a heartbreaking start to life that no puppy should ever experience, yet sadly it is a reality for far too many of the dogs that arrive in our care.

Thankfully, Isolda hasn't let her difficult beginnings dim her spirit. She is a bright, happy little puppy who is beginning to discover just how much fun the world can be. We're still learning about her personality, but she already loves spending time with her siblings, investigating new things, and making the most of every opportunity for play. Like all puppies, she has plenty of energy for adventures, followed by long naps and cuddles once she's worn herself out.

Many Podencos and Podenco puppies find themselves in shelters throughout Spain every year. Traditionally used as hunting dogs, they are often abandoned or surrendered despite being wonderful companions. Podencos are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature, and with the right home, they make devoted family pets. As puppies, they are eager to learn, full of curiosity, and thrive with patience, guidance, and lots of love.

Isolda has her whole life ahead of her and deserves a future filled with kindness, security, and happiness. She is looking for a family who will help her grow into the confident, much-loved dog she was always meant to be.
